I want to express my sincere gratitude for the help I received at Orange County Detox Center. For 28 months I used and abused heroin. I tried several times to stop on my own but every time I got two or three days clean I would succumb to intense cravings. I just couldn’t do it on my own. When I found your website I was afraid to call but something deep inside made me do it anyway and I’m so glad I did. The night I called I spoke with Louis for probably an hour or so and he made me feel like a whole person again. The shame I was constantly feeling was overwhelmed by the compassion I received over the phone by a complete stranger. You told me there was a way out and I believed you. When I met the staff the next day I knew I was at the right place.
You showed me how to live a healthy life. You told me I could be happy and successful. The truth is even better. I found a new life; a better life; a happier life and I attribute much of my good fortune to what I learned at Orange County Detox Center.
Once again I can’t thank you enough. Orange County Detox is a state of the art detoxification center and your program truly saved my life.

I am writing this letter to thank Orange County Detox
and its staff. I was taken in and treated with warmth
and kindness when I needed it most. After successfully
completing a 90-day treatment program for alcohol and
drugs. I found myself with no place to stay and no job
to go to. I was generously offered a position of being
a volunteer, which later turned into a yearlong full
time job. It instilled in me an attitude of gratitude
and inspired me to get a degree in drug and alcohol
rehabilitation. That was September 17,2005. I have been
clean and sober since that day and recently graduated.
This was no easy task I was 44 years old at the time.
I now reside in my home state I have an excellent job
and have restored relations with my loving family. With
the tremendous help that I received from Orange County
Detox, its owner and staff .I will be forever grateful.
It is never too late to start a new life!

On May 5th 2006 I called Orange County Detox. Prior to this I tried to get sober and stay sober, with zero results. I was admitted the same day. Then I was taken to a doctor who gave me a physical and basically said I would be okay. I was given a bed and welcomed to the facility. I was given water and Gatorade to hydrate myself. I attended ALL groups and inside and outside meetings. My counselor suggested I have a list of meetings close to my house upon discharge. He furnished me with that list. Since May 5th, 2006 I remained not only sober, but have become employable and my family has returned to me. I am grateful for the direction from Orange County Detox, the staff and for the many clients that helped me also. I am 52 years of age and if I can do this, anyone can. All you have to do is make the call. Also I gained twenty ponds in thirty days and going to the gym helped me maintain a healthy weight.
